Our History

1974; Sabo N. Sabo, a Hudson Falls high school science teacher founded Adirondack Pool Service.

1976; Adirondack Pool Service located a retail store in South Glens Falls, offering pool installations, pool chemicals, and service. The company incorporated, and reflecting its new product lines, it was renamed Adirondack Pools & Service, Inc.

1985; After outgrowing the South Glens Falls location, the business relocated into a 10,000 square foot building in Queensbury, with an expanded line of products and services, including portable spas.

1986, The company began installing and servicing commercial pools and spas. 

1992;  Sabo's youngest son Christopher, who had been with the company for 14 years, was elected President.

2000; www.AdirondackPools.com was launched, adding a new and exciting dimension to the company's marketing.

2006; The showroom was increased by 2,500 sq. ft. to better display above ground pools and stock inventory. The showroom now totals nearly 7,500 sq. ft., and it provides our customers with a better understanding of our in-stock product lines.

2007; We upgraded our website to provide in-house management of its content, which allows for faster posting of new projects, a newsletter, and more up-to-date reference materials.

Today, Adirondack Pools & Spas, Inc. employs over 20 local men and women.  The company owns and operates all of its own excavating equipment, delivery equipment, service vehicles, and retail store.  Adirondack Pools & Spas has built a strong reputation for our quality service, custom design, and wide selection of products that we provide.
